Good/Bad News

Ok, so I'm sure you have all heard about the volcano in Iceland. All the ash that is in the air is prohibiting air traffic to and from USA and EUR. 17,000 flights were canceled on one day!! That's how bad it is. The ash gets sucked into the plane engines, and suffocates them.

So, bad news first. Flights have been delayed for 2 weeks. This timeline comes AFTER the time that my Mom and Brother are set to return FROM Europe. This makes me very sad that they could be stranded for an indefinite amount of time. I pray that God will blow all this smoke and ash away.

Now, the good news. A friend that was supposed to be shipped out from San Diego, will most likely be delayed because of this ash. I am comforted to know that he will indeed be safe for even a few days more.

As in all things, I pray for God's will in both of these situations.

That he will make me content with whatever HE decides.

Thank you, Father!! I have peace in YOUR will.

Why, God, Why??

God, why now, of all times, are you useing this situation to teach me something, I have yet to get a hold of? Is it not enough, to have the pain of him leaving, but also telling me something through it all? I just don't understand!!!!!I wish i didn't have so many regrets about it...Give me peace, and your presence around me.

Please.

Our Military...

I just found out that good friend of mine will be shipped to Ft. Knox in 4 days. I am saddened by this news.

I respect our Military, and am proud of the things they do, but it is still hard to let them go.

Is your house ready for company?

Today I baked cookies, and made Granola, a favorite of my Dad's. All this is in preparation for the 3 weeks that Mom will not be here. I feel like I am getting my ''house in order''.

It reminds me that every morning, we need to get our ''houses'' in order with the Lord Jesus. He expects us to spend time with Him, and to feed from His word. Cleaning the rooms of our heart, and preparing for His coming, are all part of this. Just as we clean our houses and prepare for company. One day we will look up and see Him, and be so happy that our ''house'' was in order!!
